Paper Airplanes

The Paper Airplane series began around 2018 when I was working at a paint and sip job. In the times where I was not teaching I would create small works for potential classes. One idea I had was how to create something that was simple, fast, and with a strong composition that carried a lot of meaning. I settled on the paper airplane because of the triangle being so strong. A wood grain background was a natural response to added content along with a shadow. The paper airplane has many meanings, from flight to memories of childhood. This format allows for added content in the lines of the page, or space to the top right for symbols. This series is ongoing.
